Exion: Skin Renewal & Body Contouring
Your body already knows how to restore itself. Exion uses radiofrequency and ultrasound to activate that process — stimulating your own collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid for gradual, natural-looking improvement without surgery, with options ranging from needle-free Exion Face to RF microneedling for deeper remodelling.
- Needle-free options, no surgery, minimal recovery
- Suitable for face, eyes, neck, jawline and body
- Gradual, refined improvement — never overdone

What Is Exion
Exion is a machine we use that combines radiofrequency and targeted ultrasound to deliver controlled energy into different tissue depths.
This energy creates a controlled thermal effect within the skin and underlying tissue. Rather than acting only at the surface, it is designed to influence both dermal and deeper layers.
The aim is to stimulate structural change within the tissue over time, rather than produce an immediate, superficial effect.
Three Exion Treatments. Three Different Goals.
Exion is not one treatment. It is a platform with different applicators, each designed for a different kind of skin or tissue concern. The right starting point depends on what you are trying to change.
Non-needle radiofrequency combined with targeted ultrasound. Supports the skin's own collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid through controlled tissue heating rather than penetration.
- Skin firmness, early facial laxity and hydration-related skin quality
- Peri-ocular, peri-oral, full face, neck and jawline
- Suited to patients who want low-downtime improvement without needles
Subtle, gradual change built over a structured course — not a single-session result.
Insulated microneedles deliver radiofrequency energy at controlled depth into the dermis, for deeper structural remodelling than non-needle treatment can achieve.
- Texture, enlarged pores, acne scarring and photodamage
- More established laxity where non-needle treatment is unlikely to be enough
- Targeted areas, full face, or combined face and neck protocols
Topical anaesthesia, short-term redness and pinpoint marks are part of the experience. At higher energy levels, suitability is confirmed by skin type.
Larger-area radiofrequency and ultrasound applied to body zones where skin tone, firmness or surface quality has softened.
- Crepey or lax skin on arms, abdomen, thighs, flanks or knees
- Focused on body skin firmness, smoother-looking texture and contour refinement
- Course-based treatment with no surgical downtime
Exion Body is a non-invasive radiofrequency treatment for firmer, smoother-looking body skin and refined body contour. It is designed for areas where the skin or soft tissue can look looser, softer or less defined, including the abdomen, arms, thighs, knees, love handles, banana rolls, buttocks and upper back.
How Exion
Compares
Different technologies are designed for different tissue targets. The key is choosing the right treatment for the right objective.
Both are Exion applicators, working at different depths in different ways. Exion Face delivers radiofrequency and ultrasound without needles — no downtime, focused on skin quality, firmness, and early laxity. RF Microneedling delivers radiofrequency through fine needles directly into the dermis — a stronger remodelling stimulus, suited to acne scarring, deeper texture change, and more established skin concerns. Downtime is minimal: expect redness and a warm, sunburn-like feeling for around 24 hours, with most patients looking visibly normal by the next day.
Choose Exion Face when the priority is skin quality with no downtime at all; choose RF Microneedling when the concern is scarring or deeper texture and a stronger stimulus is warranted. Which is right — or whether to sequence both — is decided at consultation.
Exion Face works on the skin and underlying tissue — supporting firmness, texture, and mild contour refinement. Emface works at the muscle level, using electrical stimulation to strengthen key facial muscles while also delivering radiofrequency to the skin. Choose Exion Face when the concern is skin quality, texture, or early laxity; choose Emface when the concern is lift, definition, or facial sagging. Where both could contribute, the right sequence is decided at consultation.
Exion Body sits in the middle ground between skin tightening and body contouring. It is used when the concern is a softer, less firm or less defined area where skin quality, mild laxity and localised fullness may all be contributing.
It is best suited to contour refinement rather than major body-shape change. If the main concern is larger fat volume, weight loss, or a more dramatic reduction in size, a different body-contouring approach may be more appropriate — and if that is the case, we will say so at consultation rather than recommend a treatment that will not deliver it.
Dermalux works on cell energy. Its wavelengths of light are absorbed by skin cells and converted into fuel — and better-fuelled cells do their existing jobs better: repair, calming, renewal. That is why Dermalux suits skin that is underperforming — dull, reactive, inflamed, acne-prone or tired — and why it involves no needles and no downtime.
Exion Face works on skin structure. Its radiofrequency and ultrasound stimulate fibroblasts — the cells that manufacture collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid — to build more of all three. That is why Exion Face suits skin that is structurally changing — early laxity, crepey texture, loss of firmness and bounce.
Dermalux gives cells the energy to do their existing job well; Exion Face instructs cells to build new structure. Different mechanisms, different problems — and sometimes both, in one treatment plan.

Exion: Common Questions
Treatment Pricing
A course of 4 suits most patients. A 6-session course may be advised for more advanced laxity, scarring, photodamage, body firmness or contour-refinement goals.
Focused course for the periorbital area — fine lines, crow's feet, upper eyelid looseness and crepey under-eye skin. A non-filler option for eye-area rejuvenation.
Focused course for the mouth area — smoker's lines, lip lines, lip border softness and perioral texture. A non-filler option for lip-area rejuvenation.
Focused course for the submentum — under-chin fullness, skin looseness and soft jawline contour. Useful when the under-chin area is the main concern without broader neck treatment.
Focused course for the forehead and brow — forehead lines, brow heaviness and upper-face skin looseness. Can be paired with Eye Rejuvenation when the upper eyelid or crow's feet are also concerns.
Focused course for the lower cheeks, jowls and jawline — nasolabial lines, jowl softness and lower-face contour. A non-surgical option for lower-face refinement.
Focused course for the neck and submentum — neck skin looseness, under-chin softness and lower neckline texture. Pairs well with Lower Face for fuller lower-third treatment.
Full-face course for cheek contour, early facial looseness and skin quality. A non-filler option for collagen support across the face.
Full face, neck and submentum course for facial looseness, neck skin and lower-third contour. Better value than treating face and neck separately.
Single-area RF microneedling course for periorbital lines, perioral texture, localised scarring or photodamage. Treatment area confirmed at consultation.
Full-face RF microneedling for texture, pores, acne marks, photodamage and skin looseness. Designed for deeper dermal remodelling than non-needle treatment.
Face and neck RF microneedling for texture, crepey neck skin, photodamage and skin looseness. Better value than treating face and neck separately.
Small body zone course for underarms, knees, hands or one upper arm. Treatment area confirmed at consultation.
Medium body zone course for the abdomen, flanks, full upper arms or inner thighs. Suited to skin looseness, texture change and contour refinement across one defined area.
Large body zone or combination course for full abdomen with flanks, full thighs or both upper arms. Suited to broader areas where skin looseness and contour are treated together.
Course fees can be spread over your treatment plan, interest-free with no charges of any kind — arranged with us at your consultation. See payment plans.
